Knits in the snow
by Thomai Papathanasiou

I am sorry I haven’t posted in a long time. But I’ve been so busy and as you can tell from my pictures, things have changed since my last post. I am not in Mexico anymore (I think it is obvious from the background) therefore I am making a comeback with my knits in the snow.

So my husband and I decided to move back to Europe and we arrived in the UK last week, just on time before a wave of bad weather hit the country. After having lived in a warmer climate where you can rarely see snow, it is a big change but I must admit I enjoy wearing all my knit gear.

Although keeping warm is more important than being fashionable, I am always after looking nice. Even though I’ve had this sweater for some time, I really love it because it is very cosy and chunky. Also I am fond of it because it is long enough so I can combine it with leggings.

Despite the fact that I am more of a coat for outerwear during the winter person, last year before traveling to Iceland and Finland I decided to buy this North Face jacket. I believe it is one of the most useful things I have ever bought in my life. Although it doesn’t occupy a lot of volume in your suitcase, it is so warm and waterproof. Basically it is the perfect piece for outerwear for these weather conditions.

As a souvenir from our amazing trip to Iceland I bought this amazing knit cap, made of wool. However I haven’t been able to use it a lot until now that the cold calls for the thickest accessories possible. So as you can tell my thinking behind this look has been to not let the cold get to me. And that made it possible to really enjoy this walk around the park with the snow 🙂
